EA Sports is back with another exciting franchise game FIFA 23. This will be the last and final FIFA game as the deals between EA Sports and FIFA collapsed bringing the end to the historic franchise.


Gamers and Players who pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition can received three days of early access of the game on 27 September 2022. In the meantime, others got the game on 30 September 2022. The official release date of FIFA 23 is September 27, 2022.

Updates in FIFA 23
EA Sports has improved a lot of things in the upcoming FIFA 23.
World Cup Modes
The latest and modest update arriving on the game is FIFA World Cup mode on 9th November 2022.
New items like customizable FIFA World Cup tournament mode, Ultimate Team Kits, new stadiums, commentary, and so on are available in this mode.
It also features both men’s and women’s World Cup game modes.
Crossplay
The major update here is, crossplay features as players from different platforms will be able to play the game. However, the feature is limited to consoles within the same generation.
HyperMotion2 and Technical Dribbling
The game features a HyperMotion2 update where a system captures real-life football matches to create over 6k in-game animations.
Meanwhile, Technical Dribbling uses the features Active Touch System to improve the footballer’s path to the ball and improve the turning and dribbling of players with more responsiveness.
New Icons
EA sports’ FIFA 23 features three new icons to its icon collection with the addition of legends; Gerd Muller, Xabi Alonso, and Jairznho.
Meanwhile, the previously added eight icons have been missing from the list by EA Sports. Diego Maradona, Ryan Giggs, Pep Guardiola, Deco, Marc Overmars, and Fillippo Inzaghi.
Licenses
FIFA 23 contains over 30 licensed leagues, over 100 licensed stadiums, over 700 clubs, and more than 19k players. However, Roma, Atalanta, Lazio, and Napoli remained unfeatured in FIFA 23 due to their exclusivity agreements with rival game eFootball.
Meanwhile, Juventus have been absent for the past three years and thus known as Piemonte Calcio are featured back into the game.
Comparison with FIFA 22
As of now, EA Sports has gone all out for its final version of FIFA 23. While FIFA 22 has improved a fair no of improvements but FIFA 23 has also more or less rebuilt the game and made it more appealing to casual players and hardcore FIFA fans.

The major change in the game is new features and more swan songs in the FIFA series. Pitch is also greener and the pixels are more detailed and precise in FIFA 23. Things are constantly freshened up as free-kick graphics have changed slightly from a brand-spanking view.
Meanwhile, the women player’s faces and hair details are highly realistic along with the fellow men’s players.
Reviews
As of now, FIFA 23 has a mixed response from both players and critics. It has received a rating of 77 from the critics while the players have rated 2.5/5 per user ratings. At the moment, the complaint is general because FIFA 23 is not a big upgrade over FIFA 22.
Moreover, the complaint is focused on the new anti-cheat system that is preventing users from playing the game. Some gamers believe that the game is not well-optimized for PC users.
This might the issue that EA Sports need to sort out before gamers start switching to eFootball.
