Mercedes-Benz Is Introducing New “Acceleration Fee”.
Subscription product is one of the growing multi-million dollar businesses in the internet age. Due to the internet, the public is capable of global communication and access to information faster.
And to access some of this information and features, the client must have a subscription with the company. Most of the subscriptions are charged monthly or yearly.
In 2022, car companies like BMW, Tesla, Toyota, and many more have implemented subscription models in their cars which unlock some of the features of the car that are not unlocked otherwise.
The car companies lock some of the features using the software. BMW also introduced a subscription model for its heated seats. Likewise, Toyota also announced that the company will charge $8 per month to enable a feature that starts the car remotely without a key.
Tesla has been using some subscription models since 2019. Tesla’s Model 3 subscription will help the car to accelerate half a second faster. All these features are already available in the car, however, the companies use software blocks that require subscriptions to unlock.


Mercedes-Benz is introducing a new “acceleration fee”. According to a report by BBC, Mercedes-Benz will charge their clients $1200 annually to make the car go faster.
This subscription model will allow the car to accelerate faster and reduce the time required for the car to go from 0 to 60mph by a second.
With this subscription, the Mercedes-Benz EQ, EQE 350, and EQS 450 will accelerate from 0-60 mph in 5.2 sec. Without the subscription, these cars will take 6.2 sec to accelerate from 0-60 mph.

Currently, the model of the project is named vision EQXX. This is one of the biggest goals of Mercedes-Benz and this achievement could give them a lead in EVs.
