Furthermore, the device supports four different user interactions through touch, voice, head movement, and hand motion. This makes the accessibility of information faster and easier.
Features
OPPO Air Glass comes with multiple features and the Vice President and Head of OPPO Research Institute describes the OPPO Air Glass as a revolutionary product that will change the way people look at the world. Some of its features are as follows:
Pioneering form
The OPPO Air Glass has a thin and lightweight design inspired by nature. It is built around a monocle waveguide design. The Air Glass is lightweight and has a minimalist appearance.
The glass weighs only 30g and is one of the lightest monocle waveguide devices in the industry and can be worn like regular glasses. According to the company, the design of the product is inspired by nature.

The main body is inspired by feathers and the design of the waveguide lens is inspired by the wings of the cicada. Furthermore, the lens of the glass is secured by a light and slim frame, which encapsulates all the components, including the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 Platform.
Spark Micro Projector, Micro LED, and five high-transparency glass lenses
The Air Glass comes with a Spark Micro Projector which is developed by the OPPO itself. Integrating the Spark Micro Projector with advanced Micro LED and custom waveguide technology, OPPO Air Glass becomes one of the most advanced wearable glasses in history.
The glass provides a superior aR experience in any lighting conditions and the users can freely use the glass indoors or outdoors.
The most important technology used in the glass is OPPO’s self-developed Spark Micro Projector. The projector is one of the most compact projection systems with a size of 0.5cc only.
CNC metal is used with a glass lens module that provides good heat dissipation and stability. Furthermore, the projector of glass is powered by a Micro LED, which has a brightness of up to 3 million nits.
The glass also comes with a bespoke optical diffraction waveguide that supports 16-level grayscale and 256-level grayscale that can deliver up to 1400 nits which provides a vivid and sharp visual display.
To improve transparency and protection, the device uses two layers of sapphire glass that encases the waveguide on both sides.
OPPO has designed the glass to be accessible to a variety of people, including users with eye problems like myopia and hypermetropia.
Four methods of interaction
The Air Glass can be used by users that own OPPO Watch 2 and any OPPO phones with ColorOS 11 or higher versions. Four methods of interaction that the glass provides are touch, voice, hand motions, and head movements.
Hand motion comes into play when users pair the glass with an OPPO Watch 2. Confirmation, cancelation, and switching application cards can be done through the movements of the hand.
Furthermore, the glass recognizes head movements that can be used to open and close notifications.
Integrated with multiple applications
The OPPO Air Glass comes with numerous applications that are developed by OPPO. These applications include weather, calendar, health, teleprompter, translation, and navigation.
The translator in the Air Glass provides a two-way translation of language after the devices have been paired with each other.
Currently, the device supports some language translations, which are Mandarin Chinese-English two-way translations with advancement in the translation coming soon.

RealWear Navigator 500 comes with a high-resolution 48 megapixels camera that can take high-quality photos and can film up to 1080p at 60 fps.

Microsoft Hololens 2 is a great Augmented/Mixed Reality headset that has a depth camera that can scan the entire 3D space of a room and give a realistic hologram or 3D images into space.
These features are not provided in OPPO Air Glass. The reason might be it is only an assisted Reality, not an Augmented Reality.
